Start with the PACS that is currently right for you and simply let it grow as needed. All PACS variants are equipped with interfaces for order communication with the HIS/RIS (HL7) or practice computer system (xDT). The systems differ in the number of modalities that can be connected and the simultaneous users in image distribution. The Modality PACS systems already include one to four CHILI Report diagnostic workstations. The larger versions also include licences for DICOM Query/Retrieve and third-party programme calls.
